| This image, taken August 7, 2009 at 0130Z shows Typhoon Morakot threatening Taiwan. Over two days Morakot dumped 83 inches of rain unleashing the worst flooding in half a century. The hotel Chin Shuai collapsed in the floodwaters and there are numerous reports of landslides caused by the torrential rains. |
