NOAA-19 is the most recent addition to NOAA's polar orbiting constellation, known as POES. The satellite carries the AVHRR, AMSU, HIRS, MHS, SBUV, and SEM sensors for detecting a myriad of atmospheric, oceanic, and terrestrial properties on Earth.
