2nd Warmest September on Record
The combined global land and ocean surface temperature was the second warmest September on record, according to NOAA’s National Climatic Data Center. This image shows the temperature anomlaies for global land and ocean surface data--in other words, how the average temperatures around the globe in September 2009 different from the historical average.
