Persistent Low Moving Into the Northern Plains

An upper level low moving from the Southern to Northern Plains will bring widespread precipitation across much of the central U.S. Heavy rains with embedded thunderstorms will continue to develop ahead and along the associated cold front. The heaviest rains are expected over the Lower to Mid-Mississippi Valley. This image was taken by GOES East at 1445Z on March 21, 2012.
