Super Typhoon Usagi in the Philippine Sea

Super Typhoon Usagi is heading west-northwest between the Philippines and Taiwan through the Luzon Strait, the eye on course to pass over the island of Itbayat, Batanes Province, Philippines on Saturday. Joint Typhoon Warning Center forecasts show Usagi (17W) affecting the southern portions of Taiwan Saturday and Hong Kong Sunday. This image was taken by the Japan Meteorological Agency's MTSAT-2 satellite at 0730Z on September 20, 2013.
