The 2005 Hurricane Season

The 2005 Atlantic Hurricane Season was the most active and intense on record, with record numbers of named storms (28), intense hurricanes (7), and overall damage ($141 billion). This animation shows every GOES satellite infrared image taken from June 1 – November 30, 2005.
